Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage – The new Commander of the Navy

Rear Admiral Jayanath Colombage has been appointed as the new Commander of the Navy by His Excellency the President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Rear Admiral Colombage will be the 18th Commander to head the Sri Lanka Navy.
He succeeds the retiring incumbent Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake.
A distinguished officer Rear Admiral Colombage has been awarded with a number of medals during his long Naval career. He is a past student of St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy.
