Somalatha Subasinghe passes away

Award winning actress, playwright, directress and theatre educationist Somalatha Subasinghe passed away this morning at the age of 79.
The funeral is to take place tomorrow (31) evening at the Borella cemetery.
In recognition of her contribution to the theatre, she was conferred the title of Kalasoori and later the Kalakeerthi . An award winning actress, Subasinghe’s later years had been dedicated to revolutionising children’s and youth theatre in the country.
