Speaker has recognized Ranil as the legitimate PM – UNP

In a defiant announcement, the United National Party today claimed that Speaker of House Karu Jayasuriya has recognised, the Leader of the UNP as the legitimate Prime Minister of Sri Lanka.
Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva said through the issuance of a communiqué, Speaker Karu Jayasuriya has announced that he has refused to acknowledge the purported appointment of a new government on the 26th of October.
Speaking during a media briefing held at Temple Trees, Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva said the Speaker has stated that the 26th of October appointment has plunged the nation into a political social and an economic crisis.
Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva also claimed through the statement issued by Speaker Karu Jayasuriya, he has rejected all new appointments.
He said, UNP Leader Ranil Wickremesinghe has been recognised as the legitimate Prime Minister of Sri Lanka, until another party demonstrates its majority in Parliament.
Parliamentarian Harsha De Silva also warned that all those who have crossed over and those contemplating to back the purported administration led by Mahinda Rajapaksa, are joining a government that does not exist.

What a carry on.
Speaker KJ does not or cannot understand the IMPARTIAL ROLE expected of a speaker of Parliament. President Sirisena and MR should do the needful when parliament reconvenes.
when parliament convenes it will show that the speaker is correct as ranil will get 125 votes
Engineer Perera,
Why should the Speaker ask UNP to show they have majority in Parliament when it meets next?
When Parliament convenes on the 14th Nov, 2 days ahead of the scheduled 16 Nov, by the grace of His Excellency Pallewatte Gamralage Mathripala Sirisena, the legally appointed Prime Minsiter, Hon Mahinda Percy Rajapaksa will conduct proceedings in Parliament with Hon Leader of the Opposition, Rajavarothayam Sampanthan.
Other insignificant Parties in Parliament, the UNP and JVP can occupy the backseats and fart as much as they like. They UNP and JVP are of of no consequence to the country.
When it comes to an issue which requires a vote on 14 Nov or in the future, the Speaker shall call for a Vote and Hon Mahinda Percy Rajapaksa’s legally constituted Government will overwhelmingly carry the vote; most of those samanalayas in the UNP can be bought with a couple of bucks for every vote.
Therefore, I cannot see why any party should be required to demonstrate a majority on 14 Nov.
Eng, Perera, It seems you will be there to vote for RW.
