SPECIAL 3-DAY TRAFFIC PLAN IN COLOMBO

November 16, 2010: A special traffic plan will be implemented in Colombo for three days, beginning today, says police headquarters.
According to police spokesperson SP Prishantha Jayakody, this traffic plan will be in effect from 9.30 am to 1.30pm.
“During this 4-hour period, the stretch of road from the Galle Face Hotel up to the Ceramic Junction in Fort will remain closed,” he said.
Thereby, he noted that buses will be diverted from the Kollupitiya Junction along Piththala Junction towards Colombo, while light vehicles will be diverted from the Galle Face Hotel roundabout along Makan Markar Street, towards Fort.
