Traffic cops will no longer be deployed at traffic lights

The Police Media Unit said the traffic police would not be regulating traffic at traffic lights from today. Police advise drivers to strictly adhere to the traffic signals. Traffic police will be present only at places where traffic lights are not located.

I think this is good and motorist will be adhered and obey to traffic signal and law. My opinion is there must be a police officer to observe the motorists as well as pedestrians who are not follow the rules and must take an action on the spot. I have noticed that most of pedestrians do not follow the country traffic law. specially, some are converse with mobile phones while crossing the zebra lines too.
