Woman shot dead in Beliatta

A 52-year-old woman with gunshot injuries had been found this morning (02) near a house in the Dammulla area in Beliatta, stated the Police.
Police said the woman, a resident of Dammulla had succumbed to the injuries upon admittance to the Tangalle Hospital.
It was reported that the woman was shot while sweeping the yard this morning.
Beliatta Police have launched investigations into the matter.
