Biyagama businessman hacked to death

A leading businessman and owner of Biyagama Village Hotel, was hacked to death in the early hours yesterday. Police said R B Bernard Jayaratne was hacked with a sharp weapon at Nalangawatta land
in Pahala Dompe, Dompe by an unidentified man who came on a motorcycle. The assailant fled the scene after committing the crime. Police said the victim had gone to his land in his cab and he was attacked later. Police added that the remains are placed in the Gampaha Hospital Mortuary. A post postmortem was scheduled to be conducted
Dompe Police are investigating.
