This reminds me of the story of the Mahadena Mutta when his advice was sought about the appearance of large potholes in the villagers’ paddy fields ( due to stampede of an elephant herd ) instructed his five disciples to go round the country asking all the villagers to tie tightl;y their mortars (vangedi ) overnight so that they could not stroll in their paddy fields.
The Cabinet had no choice but to accept this stupid proposal; if not, The King will kick up a tantrum and refuse to conduct Cabinet meetings and take off to an overseas destination with an entourage of >100 !!!
God Bless Sri-Lanka, chain saws first what next ?
