Deputy Assistant Secretary of US State Department calls on Secretary Defence

Maj Gen Walter D Givhan, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Plans, Programmes and Operations of the US State Department’s Bureau of Political – Military Affairs, paid a courtesy call on Secretary Defence and Urban Development Mr Gotabaya Rajapaksa yesterday (26th April) at the Ministry of Defence.
During the meeting both officials discussed matters relating to bilateral interest.
Maj Gen Walter D Givhan was accompanied by Ms Ann Nelson, Programme Analyst and Ms Kate McFarland, Assistant Programme Manager of the US State Department’s Bureau of Political – Military Affairs.
