Five soldiers killed as mound of earth collapses

Five soldiers were killed and three injured when a mound of earth collapsed on them this afternoon at the Diyatalawa Army Camps.
The group of soldiers were engaged in a development activity within the army camp when the accident had occurred, the military spokesman said.
Two soldiers injured from the accident are being treated at the camps’ hospital.
