Police officer commits suicide by shooting himself

A police officer has committed suicide by shooting himself with his firearm, in front of the office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG) in Tangalle.
The deceased is a sergeant attached to the Tangalle Police and a resident of the Weeraketiya area.
