But politics is a different thing particularly Sri Lanka in last 3-4 decades-Killers can survive in politics.
Arrest of the prime suspect is great news but he is only the hit man. Who hired him? If he is the big politico some people supect, then the hit man will be silenced in prison. So the politico will get away as usual. It is worse in India.
The identities of these suspects appeared in several websites a couple of days ago. The Police have apprehended them but do they have any evidence against these suspects that can secure a conviction?
In fact, no convictions have been achieved in any of the killings in Kelaniya over the past year or so.
On a national scale, no convictions have been achieved in any of the major killings that took place in the past 4 years or so.
The culture of impunity is definitely embedded in our society. Law and order are no longer effective social mechanisms.

Since all these things are attached to politics the real hands behind it will never harmed. Because they use their watchdogs and idiots in front of them and save their life and career. So in real laws they will never get punished as shooter and other attaches are not the correct men.
But people has the real power to condemn them and put them in bay, how?
They can sabotage their missions by ignoring these type of politicos. If SL people/Kelaniya people are wise enough then it will be easily solved.
But people should aware that, some good things should still continue in the area as such not allowing for killing cows and bring Hamba traders to the town.
