Ranjan further remanded until February 12

UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake, who was arrested in connection with the controversial audio clips, has been further remanded until February 12 by the Nugegoda Magistrate’s Court today.
He was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) officers at his residence in Madiwala on January 14.

OMG! It is very cruel to keep him in custody till mid February. He entertained the whole nation (not forgetting Hirunika). I wonder what happened to the tapes he shared with the parliament. Some say he never have them. Some say these tapes are useless because they are corrupt. Whatever this whole saga should not become a ‘Storm in the Tea Cup’.

Hon RR is kept in prison on trumped up charges.
The AG wanted the Judges who were in contact with Hon RR, arrested.
However, the IGP has not carried out AG’s instructions because they are invalid!
The RR recordings, when released in public, will shake the political establishment beyond repair.

So far pretty much all judges who were on RR’s tape/recordings have been indicted and/or arrested and brought to the CID to give statements. Many have, I see, “sung the blues” to save their own ar*ses and have distanced themselves from RR.
Corrupting the judiciary for political gain is a heinous crime in any nation and it should deserve capital punishment and no less!
Dear Mr. Fiery Fernando, I have a problem with your Amba Kumarage (Mango Price) RR. He gave a clean certificate for GR. But he never attacked or kept tapes of any Muslim and JVP. Why? But the million dollar question is if these tapes are so damaging why the hell he didn’t table them during the presidential elections? In that case MR et al wouldn’t have come to power. That said, JA is a front side player but your friend Hon. RR is a backside player.
