Rukantha in New York road accident

Popular Sri Lankan singer Rukantha Gunatilake has met with a road accident in New York, said diplomatic sources.
He had been returning from prayers at a church at Stassen Island, when he faced the mishap.
Presently receiving treatment at Richmond University Medical Centre, his condition is not said to be critical.
Mr. Gunatilake had been living in Stassen Island for some time as a political refugee after being harassed in Sri Lanka for supporting the UNP.
Just recently, he served as a music division head of Sri Lanka Rupavahni Corporation, but left it to join Siyatha TV.
