SSP Vass Gunawardena transferred

Galle District Senior Superintendent of Police Vaas Gunawardena has been transferred to Ratnapura District effective immediately, police spokesman said.
B.A.D. Padmasiri who served as SSP in charge of Ratnapura District has been transferred to Galle, SSP Prishantha Jayakody said pointing out that the transfers were ordered by IGP N.K. Illangakoon.
The transfers come in the wake of the recent quadruple murders which took place in Galle.
