Water bills to go up

National Water Resources and Drainage Board Chairman Karunasena Hettiarachchi said that the water rates would be increased soon.
The board had not increased the rates for three years, but it would be compelled to increase them due to the higher cost of electricity, fluctuations of the rupee and other costs, said Mr. Hettiarachchi, speaking to “Lankadipa”
