Gen. Wesley Clark says US planned in 2001 to take over 7 countries in 5 years – Syria is one

– by Shenali D Waduge

The former supreme allied commander of NATO during the Kosovo War General Wesley Clark revealed to Amy Goodman in an interview in March 2007 that US planned in 2001 to take down 7 countries in 5 years starting off with Iraq. The 7 nations are Iraq. Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Lebanon, Syria and Iran. Iraq was eventually invaded in 2003 after a fictitious WMD accusation, Libya fell in 2011, Somali has US puppets in Government, Sudan was divided into 2 states after US sponsored terrorism, Lebanon and Syria are in progress with active use of drones in 6 different Muslim countries while Iran will be the final stage of a plot combining the efforts of US, European Allies and Saudi funds using Muslims to kill each other in proxy wars that linvolve Islam and sectarianism to showcase internal conflict. What are we to take from this?

2003 IRAQ invasion

For starters if US planned Iraq takeover in 2001 – it means the whole WMD accusation was a farce – but a farce to which the UN and mainstream media are guilty of aligning with. When a General at Pentagon in 2001 told Gen. Clarke that “We’re going to war with Iraq” and he didn’t know why” this speaks volumes. This same general had informed that the US would be taking out 7 countries in 5 years (ie. Between 2007 and 2012)!

Iraq plot – before 2003 invasion (Rumsfeld-Gen Franks meeting /2001 – Freedom of Information Act document)

  • WMD was a Rumsfeld creation
  • Secretary of State Powell aware Iraq “regime change” principle strategy of Bush administration.
  • Exploiting intercepted 60,000 aluminum tubes as nuclear and using as propaganda
  • Guaranteed support of Tony Blair – British PM to attack Iraq even without real evidence of Iraq involvement in 9/11
  • US State Dept analytical unit observes Blair’s decision to join war on Iraq could radicalize British Muslims.
  • Rumsfeld instructs Gen Franks to establish and fund provisional government as US invasion strategy (this was in 2001 but Pentagon changed this to post-invasion)
  • According to the Gordon/Trainor book Cobra II, opposition groups submitted 6,000 names of potential recruits, 622 were vetted by the U.S., 500 were invited to join the force, 95 showed up in Hungary for training, and 73 completed the four-week training program. The operation was budgeted at $63.5 million.
  • Indicates that a few hours after the 9/11 attacks Rumsfeld spoke of attacking Iraq as well as Osama bin Laden and directed Defense Department lawyer Jim Hayes to get “support” for a supposed link between Iraq and Osama bin Laden from Paul Wolfowitz. (US DOD office of Under Sec for Policy Notes Stephen Cambone on/Sept 11)
  • “Final Report of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States,”July 22, 2004 [extract]. The report says that Paul Wolfowitz was the chief advocate for an immediate attack on Iraq.  Bush called for contingency planning for military actions, but deferred a decision to invade.
  • Donald Rumsfeld ““If you think we’re going to spend a billion dollars of our money over there, you are sadly mistaken.” (on post-war rebuilding)

What we need to take from this is that a lot of high level attention has gone into planning an invasion on Iraq well before 9/11 strategizing how to justify an unprovoked attack on a sovereign country. The plans included how to get fellow nations to join US invasion, how to sell the story to the people of America and the world – we now know who joined hands in those lies – Media and international Human Rights groups as well as the UN too stand guilty for the loss of life and property that took place in 2003 and continues to take place 10 years after.

The 1991 Gulf War was also a lie with US spending $8million to fund opposition groups and propaganda after Clinton signed the Iraq Liberation Act in 1998. Then Bush took over and the rest is history.

Nuremberg judges called AGGRESSION a “supreme international crime”. Chilcot Inquiry in UK show Tony Blair was repeatedly warned that invading Iraq was a CRIME OF AGRESSION – one of the most serious offenses under international law.

  • 29,200 bombs and missiles were used on Iraq in the 1st month killing tens of thousands of civilians in 2003 March.
  • Epidemiologists estimated 650,000 Iraqi deaths by 2006 and by 2008 that figure would have been 1million.
  • US soldiers in addition to humiliating Iraqi soldiers carry out “dead-checking” – killing wounded fighters, 360 degree rotational fire on streets with civilians, “call for fire” – air strikes on villages and buildings full of people, Fallujah was declared a “free fire zone” – thousands civilians were killed.
  • Leaked report of ICRC 2004 on 27 visits to 14 US prisons in Iraq  documented – mock executions, extreme heat and cold, waterboarding, “stress positions”, deadly forms of hanging, sleep deprivation, starvation and thirst, denying medical treatment, electric shocks, rape and sodomy, beatings, cutting with knives, suffocation, psychological torture – sexual humiliation etc. This was a first world country preaching human rights, dignity and respect for all people, respect and that wonderful word reconciliation. America does take the cake for hypocrisy.

US occupation deliberately targeted Sunni Muslims killing 10% of Sunnis and driving most out of home – clear genocide.

If Bush was not bad enough after Barak HUSSEIN Obama took over he added drones to the already grueling checklist of US war crimes. US has to pay war reparations to Iraq for Aggression, Genocide and War Crimes.

2011 Libya’s fall

The lies created for Libyan invasion surpasses the lies created to invade Iraq. There were no rape, no mercenaries fighting for Gaddafi (it was the opposite), no attacks on civilians by Gaddafi troops – all invalidating any need for a “No-Fire-Zone” which was gained by the Security Council so NATO could bomb Libya. Gaddafi unlike Saddam did not attack neighbor nations or invade them and he had no WMDs. When 1million people demonstrate on behalf of Gaddafi that shows much. The power of media is such that we were all fooled and Gaddafi was sodomized virtually before our eyes. Whatever his wrongs he did not deserve to be killed as he was by a country which has no moral right to be preaching to anyone.

In 2009 Gaddafi Proposed Nationalizing Libya’s Oil. It did not amuse Anglo-Dutch Shell, British Petroleum, ExxonMobil, Hess Corp., Marathon Oil, Occidental Petroleum and ConocoPhillips, the Spanish Repsol, Germany’s Wintershall, Austria’s OMV, Norway’s Statoil, Eni and Canada’s Petro Canada. To make matters worse Gaddafi was on the verge of creating a new banking system that was going to put the IMF, World Bank and assorted other Western banksters out of business in Africa because a $42 billion dollar African Investment Bank was planning to give major loans at zero or low interest. Gaddafi implemented the contract changes and gained 5.4 billion dollars in oil revenues which he proposed to distribute the oil wealth directly to Libya’s 5 million citizens. That’s why within 9 days of taking over Libya – its national bank was linked to all the world’s Central Banks.

Somalia

Somalia is an East African state. Somalia’s location is strategic for both European and American imperialists but it also means that they would need to control the Indian Ocean. Half of the world’s container traffic and 70% of the total traffic of petroleum products passes through the Indian Ocean. Somalia has the longest coast of Africa (3300km) and faces the Arabia Gulf and Straight of Hormuz. It serves the US to keep Somalia in a state of chaos. Horn of Africa – Somalia, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia must get together and solve problems on their own.

A nation of 9million people majority in starvation. European ships loot Somalia’s greatest resource – seafood more than $300m worth of tuna, shrimp, lobsters are stolen allually. It is a nation where the West dumps its nuclear waste to the ocean and that is why the people’s food supply has been affected as well as their health. How true is the Somali pirate story? Well when the world’s powerful government’s declare war on Pirates you have got to wonder especially when Her Majesty’s ship set sail for Somalia to even chase the pirates onto land! Smell a scandal? While the West found nothing wrong in stealing Somalia’s livelihood, dumping waste and causing loss of human life when starving Somalian fishermen decided to react the world cries foul. So which one is really the robber?

Somalia has been led by warlords since 1990 a US strategy because of its OIL. So when there’s oil there is always a military humanitarian intervention.  Since 1991 IMF’s “economic medicine” ensured economic and social chaos which set the stage for the “civil war”. Keep an eye on such climates being set elsewhere. Somalia became a territory for 4 US oil giants (Conoco, Amoco, Chevron and Phillips) who have been allocated 2/3 of Somali (The Times).

In 2006 the US got 50,000 Ethiopian troops to invade Somalia and eventually withdrew in 2009 creating the Al Shabaab which the US arms and with the return of Ethiopian troops. A wikileaks cable implicates US Under Secretary of State for Africa, JendayiFrazer in pressing Ethiopia’s President Meles Zenawi to invade its neighbor. Somalia-Ethiopia rift is the cause of the Ogaden region which has been divided between the two. Now US drones are used in Somalia.

Sudan

With a 39 population Sudan is about wealth and religion – this together with the distribution of both. North Sudan is Arab and Muslim and is where the capital is located (Khartoum) and more developed. Darfur is located North-West. Sudan has over 400 ethnic groups with and a former colony of Britain and Egypt. South Sudan is black African and mostly Christian and extremely poor.  Sudan is the largest state in Africa sharing borders with Chad, Egypt, Congo. Central African Republic, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Kenya, Libya and Uganda. In 2003, Sudan was faced with a situation where militias backed by the Sudanese Government were killing civilians of 3 African communities in Darfur (a region west of Sudan). In 2006, a similar wave of attacks occurred and 500,000 lives are said to have been lost whilst millions were left homeless. Darfur became the 1st genocide of the 21st century. The 2004 US bill “Declaring genocide in Darfur, Sudan.” Is nothing but a preparation for another “humanitarian intervention”. With Sudan now divided, US pays the salaries of the SLPA (Sudan People’s Liberation Army), the national army of South Sudan – estimated at $100m in 2011 alone. Is a country independent when another pays its salary? The UN “peace keepers” are supposedly from US client state Ethiopia. The same “peace keepers” invaded Eritrea. The “peacekeepers” salaries are also from US.  Thus US/UN “peacekeepers” also surround Abeye oil fields – which if Abeye-Port Sudan’s pipeline is attacked and damaged it would effect China’s energy development in Africa. The western supported independence of South Sudan is turning into a nightmare for the people of the region. Little wonder when one finds out who is actually funding, and now arming, the armed forces in the country.

Syria

Syria is target because of its ties to Russia. Anglo-Americans are shaping up to a confrontation with both Russia and China and India is helping facilitate the Asian end superbly. Another factor that is relevant to both Libya and Syria is the total domination by the private central banking system – because by controlling a nation’s currency, one essentially controls the nation. Like Libya WAS, Syria IS one of the few nations that has not allowed itself to become subservient to a privately-owned central bank. Syrian banking system largely consists of four state-owned banks and fourteen private banks, mostly foreign banks providing services to the private sector inside Syria. For at least forty years, the state itself has maintained a total monopoly on the Syrian banking system. The rest of the nations on the list Cuba, North Korea, and, notably, Iran all maintain such government banking systems.

US has not learnt lessons – we cant expect a rogue state to do so. When the WMD in Iraq was a lie – the same lie is now being used on Syria. No Fly Zone means that the US and allies are preparing to target 23 places on the excuse that they are chemical storages and Israel is striking Syria even without US consent. The Los Angeles Times reported that CIA were already training and arming Syria’s rebels since 2012 at bases in Jordan and Turkey far before US approved directly arming the opposition. Senator McCain says US will allocate $250million to Syrian rebels http://www.theblaze.com/blog/2013/05/30/in-syria-mccain-regrettably-poses-for-photo-with-alleged-kidnappers/ . Britain has announced £40m aid package to foreign-backed terrorists in Syria. Now they are even posing with terrorist rebels! Saudi and Qatar too are both arming and assisting the Syrian rebels…. Here’s a supposed Muslim nation betraying their own Muslim brethren. We can but watch another Western-sponsored Saudi funded genocide take place. Take out the map and the story is easier to understand.

Lebanon

The first U.S. military intervention in Lebanon was embarked on in 1958. We recall Lebanon for the 1983 attack against the U.S. Marines. US does not want Lebanon to align with Iran or Syria thus the Syria Accountability and Lebanese Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2003 “to halt Syrian support for terrorism, end its occupation of Lebanon, stop its development of weapons of mass destruction, cease its illegal importation of Iraqi oil and illegal shipments of weapons and other military items to Iraq, and by so doing hold Syria accountable for the serious international security problems it has caused in the Middle East, and for other purposes”. Israel is pushing for an invasion of Lebanon. In fact Israel did attack Lebanon in 2006. Hezbollah is one reason for Israel angst. Hezbollah was organized in response to 18 years of Israeli military occupation of southern Lebanon. What is definitely on the cards is that if Syria falls so too with Lebanon.

Iran

The US plan for 7 nation take over was to end with Iran – so why is the West so afraid of Iran?

The US has been trying every trick and strategy available – but Iran has stood the tides. Iran is located in the middle of the Greater Middle East and is the direct heir to the great Persian empire. Tehran has always been considered a major regional power. It is the home of the Shiites which poses a threat to Saudi Arabia which is a Sunni country. Iran is also home to the world’s 3rd largest oil reserves which cannot be exploited due to international frictions, Iran’s strategic position affords it the ability to blockade the Hormuz strait – the world’s most important oil sea route. Moreover, Iranian plateau is located between Caucasus and the Indian Sea and can be an alternative to export oil and gas from the Caspian basin without crossing Russia. Israels wrath against Iran is that Iran together with Syria are financing Shiite Hizbullah in Lebanon and Sunnis in the Gaza strip. US is putting all its energies into planning out how to take on Iran and Iran appears to be far more prepared than the other nations that fell.

The trouble is if US Congress authorized the invasion of Iraq – it is not illegal. It was also authorized by the UN Security Council though in all truth it is an illegitimate war though not an illegal one. It is obvious that Islam is being used as a geopolitical tool to push a new brand of Islam pushed by Saudi funds one in which the moderate Muslims are being subdued not to question the decisions being taken in the name of Islam – thus a whole new breed of Islamic radicals are being churned out and exported all over the world with the connivance of the West to provoke troubles and create the ground for foreign interference.

Yet does the US really trust the Saudis? Not if we go by the briefing of the US Defense Policy Board prepared by Rand Corporation analyst Laurent Murawiec says “Saudi supports our enemies and attacks our allies” and described Saudi as “the kernel of evil, the prime mover, the most dangerous opponent” in the Middle East. The Board included Kissinger, Dan Quayle, Newt Gingrich. This is not US Government policy but it shows that many oppose US links with Saudi since in the counter statement “Saudi Arabia is a long-standing friend and ally of the United States. The Saudis cooperate fully in the global war on terrorism and have the Department’s and the Administration’s deep appreciation.” People indulging in treachery are always dubious of the other… this seems to be such a scenario.

For US and stooges there is no War on Terrorism – it is a War OF Terrorism. While the American people are always saying a Government should LISTEN to its people –the US Governments have been doing just that – through the NSA….!!!
