Prior permission to use Security forces uniforms in media
The members of the Security Forces, the Actors and Actresses should get prior permission from the Ministry of Defence to wear the uniforms of Security Forces when appearing before the media and films, the Media Centre for National Security said today in a statement.
The Ministry of Defence has decided to standardize the using of the Security Force’s uniform by the members of the Security Forces, Actors and Actresses while they appear before the media, films and Tele dramas.
If any person or organization wishes to use the uniform of the Security forces in above situations they should obtain the prior permission from the Ministry of Defence through the Media Centre for National Security.
The rules and regulations regarding the using of the uniform have been already imposed. If any person or organization goes against this procedure would be prosecuted. It is further informed that the using of visuals in the news telecasting with the uniform of Security Forces has not been prohibited by the Ministry of Defence.
