Ceylon Petroleum Corporation opens registration for companies to Purchase fuel with U.S. dollars

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation (CEYPETCO) says it has opened online registration to open a consumer account for any company or industry that can pay in US dollars to obtain a weekly guaranteed fuel quota.
The applications could be downloaded from the CEYPETCO website (https://ceypetco.gov.lk/usd-consumer-online-registration/).
The relevant conditions, the USD payment process and the infrastructure requirements to be completed by the applicant after authorization is granted by CEYPETCO can also be viewed on the CEYPETCO website.

Yes about time we pay in dollars for everything including food and use Rupees as toilet paper and to buy tickets for cricket matches. You idealing lazy Sri Lankens deserve this.

The only overseas trip I ever had was to the Mahabohi Temple in Bihar, India.
I gave SL Rs to the local Buddhist Monk who organised the pilgrimage.
I have never seen any foreign currency in my life.

Roxie. To your question Where you reckon I find the $’s to pay for fuel? the answer is simple. Only thing is to do a proper job and get paid any currency and convert it to dollars. You want get anything for nothing. I Sri Lanka 95% is over manned. That is a job that can be done by 5 people, 100 people are employed. You may have a bogus title like chief executive but you only doing a junior of a junior Clark or a senior engineering sitting down and warm up the chair.
