Chairman of three-wheeler union killed in assault at Mirihana

A 53-year-old man has been assaulted to death in the area of Mirihana last night (10), the Police said.
The victim has been identified as the Chairman of Self-Employed Professionals’ Three-Wheeler Association, Sunil Jayawardena.
Police said that eight suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident.
UPDATE: Eight suspects arrested over the murder of Sunil Jayawardene, the Chairman of the National Self-Employed Professionals’ Three-Wheeler Federation, have been remanded till the 25th of June.
