Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara arrested

Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara has been arrested in connection with the shooting incident in Kahawatta that took place during the election period, police spokesman SSP Ajith Rohana said.
He stated that the Deputy Minister was arrested in Aluthgama last night.
On January 5, the Pelmadulla Magistrate issued an arrest warrant on Jayasekara over his alleged involvement in the shooting incident at a venue of an election rally of the Common Candidate in Kahawatta, Ratnapura.
