Raju Bandara passes away

Veteran Sri Lankan singer and musician Raju Bandara passed away today (January 15) at the age of 65, according to family sources.
Raju Bandara was widely admired for his contribution to Sri Lankan music and was best known for several popular and much loved songs including “Ma Adarei Mulu Lowatath Wada”, “Rosa Mal Kumari”, “Ran Malak Lesa Gena Pudannata” and “Jeevithayata Idadenna”.
He came from a well known musical family in Sri Lanka.
Raju Bandara was the son of veteran singer Chandra Bandara and the brother of renowned musician and guitarist Mahinda Bandara.
