Release him with civic rights
Amidst speculation that former Army Commander will be released on January 1, UNP reformists led by MP Karu Jayasuriya and Deputy Leader Sajith Premadasa today urged the government to release him with his civic rights in tact.
They made this request after visiting former Amy Commander at Welikada prison today.
Mr. Premadasa told journalists that the UNP reformists are fully backing DNA MP Tiran Allas in his ongoing negotiations with President Mahinda Rajapaksa to get Mr. Fonseka released.
The UNP Deputy Leader said they would however urge the government to release him with all the rights which the former army commander is entitled for as a citizen of this country. He therefore said that Fonseka should have the right to engage in active politics.

SF is a shameless traitor and a corrupt evil man. He was a sadistic bully in the army. He has got his come uppance. He actually deserves a harsher sentence as is meted out in USA for traitors. SF got away lightly.
I do hope Hon President does not make the mistake of releasing SF this New Year. It would be like opening a Pandora’s Box. Releasing him would lead to terrible consequences on the Nation. Hon President has a duty to protect the grateful Nation who trusted and elected him and not this evil man.
In a democratic country, the people must genuinely decide who will represent them in managing their country. That is the nature of a representative democracy as opposed to a nominal democracy. As politicians have nefarious records of embezzlement, fraud, bribery and corruption that do not need to be repeated here, finding a “clean” politician can be an arduous task, in an age when politicians of all sorts of colours swap parties, loyalties and allegiances, to an extent which probably confounds themselves also. Most people have skeletons in their closets, and Fonseka cannot be an exception.
Perhaps the ruling party and the opposition should join hands and share power and begin to truly represent their constituents so that the people have modern, fully equipped rural hospitals, computer facilitated, state of the art public schools in villages, beautiful country roads with no pot-holes, clean, comfortable buses, no noisy and polluting 3-wheelers, wholesome, nutritious and cheap vegetables, cereals, fruit and condiments and a satisfying and adequate income to live in simple contentment!

Your aspiration for a decent joint govt is not realistic. We need a proper Parliamentary Opposition also to curb the excesses of the ruling govt.
Corruption is rife in other countries also. Most corrupt may be Indian govt. There is big rumpus at the moment in India calling for legislation against corruption.
I think, what is lacking in any govt is a sense of moral/spiritual values, not just for the show but realistically applied in practice. This is where the religious leaders of a country should step in and pull up political leaders for there shameful lack of moral/spiritual values in governing a country, so that there is no true democracy, there is corruption and wealth is concentrated in the hands of a few who plunder the nation while the majority remain poor and struggle for daily living.

I have explained time and again the treachery committed by SF. PD, you have only to look up my past blogs on SF. Anyway, for your benefit I’ll tell briefly this much. SF is not a traitor because he contested Hon MR at Presidential Election but because:
SF PUBLISHED A CANNARD THROUGH SUNDAY LEADER THAT HON DEF SEC ORDERED COMANDING OFFICERS IN FRONT LINES TO SHOOT TO KILL SURRENDERING LTTE LEADERS. He repeated this lie at his Presidential Election rallies, which were shown live through TV and published in the media. Obviously, he spread this lie to gain votes for himself, but it backfired as a traitor. This led to fresh calls for Hon President and Hon Def Sec and the Commanding Officers to be arrested and tried at the Hague for war crimes etc.
SF CONSPIRED WITH OTHERS TO ASSASSINATE HON PRESIDENT AND HIS FAMILY AND OTHER VIPs. There is ample evidence for this. That case will be heard in civil court in due course. The charge is treason.
SF ALSO MADE PACT WITH TNA TO AGREE TO ALL THEIR DEMANDS FOR AUTONOMY for Tamil support in his bid for election victory.
…and sf expressed his wild power greed in his talking at the election meetings. He talked as his aim is revenge from the govt which kept him as commander.
He said that he’ll give “mass of Bones” to his opposition candidate…. He wanted another “civil war” in politics… And so on…

The White Flag incident is true. There’s ample evidence which will be placed before impartial international fora for consideration. The other factor is about Mr VP’s death. It is only SF who announced his death and GOSL failed so far to issue a death certificate. Someone’s trying to hide the truth in this instance.
Assasination of leaders: If there’s evidence why is GOSL reluctant to charge SF? If charges are proven, that will result in atleast 20 years behind bars.
The TNA-SF pact was made public. There’s nothing about autonomy in there. Even if autonomy was addressed, why not accept? Is that not the right way to go?
In conclusion, I repeat, SF is a political prisoner just because he is on the wrong side of the Maharaja clan. They fear him. They fear his capability. They know very well he cannot be discarded like a condom.
A petition bearing over 25,000 signatures calling for intervention in SF’s case has reached the White House. This will bring about a policy review and action from the White House shortly. Tissanayagam, the journalist who was jailed worngfully under PTA provisions was released following White House intervention.
Man who calls himself ‘Pora’ Dias (funny name ‘pora’ which in Sinhala means ‘cowdung/fertiliser’) is I suspect a diaspora Tamil/LTTE or at least a supporter. This is established by the fact he repeats diaspora Tamil/LTTE cannards and disinformation, over and over again to bore us to death. Like the diaspora Tamils/LTTE and the TNA he believes if a lie is repeated oft enough, it will ultimately be believed as true.
Like the diaspora Tamils/LTTE and the TNA he insinuates that VP is not dead. It was for this reason, they claim, no post mortem was held and no Death Cert issued. When Obama killed unarmed Osama in cold blood, invading Pakistan, through a special US commando team, who also shot and injured his wife and killed a few unarmed occupants in the house, his body was airlifted to US war ship. No postmortem was held. No Death Cert was issued. The international community was informed Osama was buried at sea. There is no evidence of it. Does this mean Osama is still alive? The Taliban has issued a statement that Osama died a couple of years earlier from injuries, following US bombings. However, the Taliban kept it secret in order not to demoralise the Alqaeda. US State Dept released video of Obama and Mrs Clinton watching the cold blooded murder of Osama by US troops. The man was unarmed and not ordered to surrender. This amounted to a war crime. Obama and Mrs Clinton and all those military leaders who planned and executed this mission should be arrested and stand trial for war crime at the Hague, one day. If the man killed is not Osama, who then is he? Where is the genetic proof?
There is no evidence of LTTE leaders surrendering waving a ‘white flag’. This was a cannard spun by the fellow called ‘Bombardier’, a diaspora Tamil/LTTE, TNA, SF stooge. He is now hiding in the West. Would he dare to come out of the woodwork to give evidence and be subjected to cross-examination?
So called ‘International Fora’ are never impartial, as they are stooges of US administration. CH 4 video was produced with diaspora Tamils/LTTE funding and was shown through CH 4, who were reportedly paid £5 million. It was proven by experts to be bogus/fake.
USA tries to dominate the world but it does no cut ice with us in SL. Hon President MR has defied USA, Britain and France before, when they jointly demanded the Humanitarian Operation to be stopped, so that they can save the LTTE leaders and cadres to fight another day. This was gross interference in a sovereign country’s war with terrorists, in the hypocritical West’s attempt to save the LTTE, for vested interests, as they had a hidden agenda. We shall defy USA and its allies with the help of our own allies, China and Russia. India is ofcourse not our ally as she is a stooge of USA.
A brilliant expose’ of geopolitics and a very accurate and informed analysis of US atrocities in recent times, by Nicholas Dias. My full respects to him on that score, as I have not seen many similar analysis by other Sri Lankans todate. The more one delves into the ugly history of US and allied activities over the generations, the more disillusioned one becomes, of what they call ” modern Western civilisation”. The sooner the status quo is changed by emergent China and the likes, the better.
