122 MPs voted in favour of no confidence motion against PM & Cabinet – Ranil

UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said voice vote was taken by the Speaker on the No Confidence Motion submitted in Parliament against the Government and that 122 MPs informed the Speaker that they voted in favour of it.
Speaking during a press conference at the parliamentary premises, he stated if anyone wishes to challenge this they too are ready to challenge them.
“If they move a resolution challenging Speaker’s decision, we can put it to vote and defeat it. We can even pass another resolution saying that Speaker’s ruling is correct,” he said.
Wickremesinghe stated that he has the support of the majority in the Parliament.

Dear Indra Madam,
Where are you now ?
We would like to see your comments now .
I think this is misinterpretation.
Today there was not voting happened in the parliament.
It last for 30mins only.
There was a signed letter handed over to speaker, yet no voting happened. (102 signatures added in proper pages and another few added on a white paper without no heading or attachment details)
It seems UNP is creating wrong news across all the media.
“UNP leader Ranil Wickremesinghe said voice vote was taken by the Speaker on the No Confidence Motion submitted in Parliament against the Government and that 122 MPs informed the Speaker that they voted in favour of it.”
I am puzzled.
There is one Government (the Samanela Rela) lead ny UNP in Araliaya Gaha Mandiraya.
There is another Government lead by the Mustang-Medamulana Clan housed in the Rajapaksa residence in Wijerama Mawataha.
Then there is the Big Government lead by the Lilly White Excellency and Siral Lakthillake in Paget Road.
Of course, there is a fourth Government lead by Rtd Justice Wigneswaran in Yapanaya (this happens to be the longest serving Government !!).
Now, can someone intelligent (like Indra or Amarakoon of Engr Perrera) please explain which Government faced the so-called no confidence motion under Speaker Jayasuriya’s white sarong?
I am here Basnayaka. Watching!
Don’t forget. Now or 2 years later, a general election going to come.
My dear Ranil,
Still you are not the prime minister since you have been sacked. So, ask for a general election and get elected. Then you can roar, because that will be convincing.
Excellent Comment by Gindara.
The Mustang-Medamulana Government should be relocated to the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Airport in Hambantota (to safeguard our nation against Indian imperialsm).
The Paget Road Government of Aiyo and Siral and Wijedasa should be relocated to Royal Central College in Polonnaruwa.
The Wigneswaran Government should be relocated to the shores of Mullivaikkal in Killinochchi.
The Samanela Government in Araliya Gaha Mandiraya can continue there.
We will, once again, become the WONDER OF ASIA !!!!!
Indra,
A General Election will result in a UNP majority in Parliament.
MR is mistaken by basing his entire political future on his victory against Tamil Terrorism.
Most of the population (except the ungrateful Tamil speaking SL Citizens) living in rural areas have forgotten the war against Tamil Terrorists.
The Samanela Kalliya have provided the rural (and of course, the urban) populations a way forward towards middle class prosperity.
We are now a middle income nation (by World standards) and people appreciate that only the liberal philosophies of the UNP can consolidate the way forward.
Free Rice, subsidised parrippu and free education etc are things of the past.
Those who are living overseas are the ones who have lost the common touch.
The Blue Party is economically backward.
So what FERNANDO?
It is the choice of the citizens of Sri LANKA!
So be IT!
It is unquestionable3! Inarguably and supreme to any choice made by “Voice Vote” in the parliament or anything else! I am sure vast majority of srilankans wants to make the decision for themselves and end the current situation.
