Tense situation in Maligawatta

A tense situation has erupted in Maligawatta as authorities have arrived to demolish unauthorized buildings, Maligawatta police told Ada Derana. Police have been deployed to the area to control the situation as the residents are protesting the move to demolish.
Police said that moves were being made to remove unauthorized structures from Kalaimahal road in Maligawatta.
