BC DG summoned to House

The Director General (DG) of the Commission to Investigate Allegation of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) Ms. Dilrukshi Dias Wickramasinghe has been summoned to the Parliament by the Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa.




UPFA MPs protest in parliament

A group of United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MPs staged a protest inside the parliament chamber a short while ago against the Bribery Commission’s move to summon former President Mahinda Rajapaksa to record statements over various allegations levelled against him.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa has denied media reports that he maintained secret accounts in foreign banks. Rajapaksa in a release stated that members of the government have been spreading rumours about billions of dollars stashed abroad in secret accounts by him, his wife and sons.
