Sirisena saw no threat to national security

In 2015, the then President Maithripala Sirisena had not thought there would be a threat to national security and had agreed to hold the National Security Council (NSC) meetings once a month, instead of once a week as before, former Secretary to the President P. B. Abeykoon yesterday told the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks.

Issuing a media circular the Registrar General stated that, the National Birth Certificate introduced in 2019 has been designed to meet national and international standards with the most secure strategies and international standards while eliminating the shortcomings of the former birth certificate.





Angoda Lokka murdered in Bangalore

Maddumage Lasantha Chandana Perera alias Angoda Lokka has been poisoned to death in Bangalore, India, reliable sources revealed.  The sources also said a woman who worked closely with him is being charged with the killing.
