Champika’s driver says he did not drive vehicle that collided with motorcycle

Walawe Mahandurage Dilum Thusitha Kumara, the driver of former minister Patali Champika Ranawakam had told the Colombo Crimes Division (CCD) that he did not drive the vehicle involved in an accident on 28 February 2016, Deputy Solicitor General Dileepa Peiris informed Colombo Assistant Magistrate, Kanchana Neranjana Silva, yesterday.









Military Police to assist police to control traffic

With the increase in the number of vehicles on the road causing heavy traffic congestion in Colombo city, especially during the peak hours, the Military Police personnel will be deployed from today at the main entry and exit points in Colombo to assist the Police in order to ease traffic congestion in the city, Army Commander Shavendra Silva said.
