Schools in Colombo and other Major Cities to remain closed next week

Sri Lanka has decided to not open schools in the Colombo Zone and City schools across all provinces from 27th June until 1st of July.



Work from Home regulation for public sector extended until further notice

A Circular has been issued by the Ministry of Public Administration directing the heads of Government institutions to call only the minimum and essential staff for day-to-day services until further notice.



Token system for fuel delivery in Sri Lanka from Monday (June 27)

Fuel prices increased in Sri Lanka

The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation announced (CEYPETCO) that fuel prices have been increased with effect from 2:00 AM on Sunday (June 26). At the same time Lanka IOC also announced that it increased its fuel prices following the CEYPETCO price revision.

Fuel shipments further delayed & Unable to confirm next shipment arrival date – Energy Minister
