The Kurunegala Magistrate issued arrest warrants on Kurunegala Mayor & four others over the case of destruction of the ancient archeological site known as the Buwaneka Hotel building, as directed by the Attorney General, Coordinating Officer State Counsel Nishara Jayaratne said today (07).

With the release of the General Election results, special Police protection has been accorded to UNP Headquarters Sirikotha with effect from yesterday (6) afternoon, Police sources said.
