Sajith Premadasa tables SLC letter to ICC over undue interference

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa today revealed that Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) president Shammi Silva had sent a letter to the International Cricket Council (ICC) alleging that the Sports Ministry had made undue interferences in its activities and claimed that this had paved the way for the ICC ban on Sri Lanka Cricket.

Education Ministry calls for immediate investigation on death of student due to school wall collapse

Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has instructed the officials of the Zonal Education Office to conduct an investigation and to provide an immediate report into the death of the grade 1 student and several others being injured after a wall made of concrete with taps collapsed in the Weheragoda Junior School in Wellampitiya yesterday (November 15).






Sri Lanka Cricket files defamation lawsuit against Sports Minister seeking Rs. 2.4 billion in damages

Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) has filed a defamation lawsuit in court against Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Roshan Ranasinghe claiming Rs. 2.4 billion over the ‘defamatory statements’ he has made in respect of the cricket governing body, Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) said in a statement today (November 15).
